Church Hill winds up to the top of the hill. The Church is located at the top, where once there were no other buildings near! Now we are surrounded by houses and a school
The Church is the people, not the building!
St James’ Church seeks to follow Jesus faithfully, along with her partner churches in Arnside, Storth and in the villages around the Kent Estuary. Everything we do comes out of this Mission Statement.
The church building is on Church Hill
Although, like most churches we are custodians of a wonderful building with beautiful
stained glass windows and a peaceful place that has been prayed in for nearly 150
years -

We are an Anglican Church. We pray and hope for the day when there will no longer be different denominations, but One Church: One Body: United!
